Stan Musial was one of the greatest players in the history of baseball. A gentleman both on the field and off, “Stan the Man” played his entire 22 year professional career with the St. Louis Cardinals. He had a lifetime .331 batting average, with 3,630 base hits and 475 home runs and held numerous records when he retired. Musial won seven league batting titles and three Most Valuable Player awards, and he helped the Cardinals win three world championships. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1969.
